Eligibility: Only CSULB Students, Faculty, Staff -------- NO ALUMNI
**Participants must present a CSULB Picture I.D. before the game. NO EXCEPTIONS! No I.D., No Play!**
a. Players should bring a black and white shirt, unless your team has a uniform.
b. Rubber molded cleats and turf shoes are highly recommended, and tennis shoes are allowed.
i. No black rubber, may damage the basketball court.
c. All players must wear shin-guards.
d. The goal keeper must wear a shirt/jersey that is distinguished by all other field players.
a. The game is played in four 10-minute quarters.
i. There is a 3 minute interval break between the first and second & third and fourth quarter.
ii. There will be a 5 minute break at the half.
iii. Each team will have a one minute timeout for each half.
iv. You must start the game with a minimum of 5 players. Failure to do so will result in a forfeit.
Forfeit Rule: Two forfeits per team during league play will result in the removal of that team from the league. There is a $30 forfeit fee for organized teams (Free Agent teams are exempt). This must be paid before the next game. If it is not paid by that time, then your team will receive another forfeit and your team will be eliminated from the league.
b. Once you play a game with one team, you may NOT switch teams. You may only be on one roster; if it happens that you are on more than one roster, the team you first play for is the team you must stay with.
**After the first game you may ADD TO THE ROSTER, as long as it does not exceed the maximum number of players, but you CANNOT ADD AFTER THE 3rd WEEK, regardless of injury or someone quitting the team. The Team Captain must accompany anyone they are adding to the roster. When adding you may only do so at the Equipment Checkout Window.**
i. Goals are scored when the entire ball crosses the goal line.
ii. All goals are worth 2 points, except goals scored at or beyond the three point line, those will be worth 3 points.
iii. You can use the wall adjacent to the goals to rebound, but you cannot use the wall perpendicular to the goals.
iv. When the ball is out of play, players bringing in the ball have 5 seconds to bring it back to play. The ball must be still, cannot be rolling. Failure to do so will result in a change of possession.
v. There will be corner kicks.
i. Goalkeeper cannot punt the ball. If goalkeeper punts the ball, then it will result in a change of possession.
ii. Goalkeeper can either throw the ball in or kick the ball while it is on the ground.
e. No slide tackles
i. Yellow cards given to a player will result in s/he stationed in the Penalty Area for 2 minutes (player cannot be substituted).
ii. Power Play: If a team scores upon taking advantage of the opposite team having player(s) down in the Penalty Area, those players are released from the Penalty Area.
iii. Fouls are called (but not limited to) a player if:
1. Holds an opponent.
2. Plays in a dangerous manner
3. Slide tackles
4. Impedes the progress of an opponent (“obstruction”), or prevents the goalkeeper from releasing the ball from his/her hand
5. Strikes or elbows an opponent
iv. Penalty Kicks
1. The ball will be placed at the free-kick mark
2. The goalkeeper has at least one foot on his/her goal line until the ball is in play
3. The player taking the PK has one chance to score
g. Overtime and Tiebreaker (Only for Playoffs)
i. ONE 5-minute overtime (if the game is still tied, there will be penalty kicks)
