Instructional Classes at the SRWC are specialized fitness classes taught by professionals in the industry who may have more trainings and certifications than other instructors. These classes are reduced to a limited number of participants to create an environment that facilitates a learning outcome. Instructional classes range from boxing to popular fitness regimes like the Total Body Work, and are offered to SRWC members only at a nominal fee.
Registration opens Aug. 22 and classes begin the week of Sept. 11.
*There are two six-week sessions each semester for all classes except for Weightlifting 101, which will have three four-week sessions. See information below.
Shred your lazy habits and jumpstart your fitness with this 6-week group training session. Workout with a certified personal trainer in a small group setting. Limited to 8 participants.
Students: $45/session; Non-students: $50/session

Learn basic punches, correct footwork, and fundamental patterns of movement. Improve your cardiovascular endurance, and your overall health and fitness.

This class utilizes the Pilates Reformer in a group setting. The reformer is one of the main pieces of pilates equipment that offers spring resistance to further strengthen the body as a whole. Improve your posture and bring balance to your body. Many of the same exercises done in a pilates mat class are performed on the reformer to increase flexibility, strength, and control without adding bulk.
Students: $90/session, Non-Students: $95/session

Weightlifting 101 is designed for participants to learn, understand, and develop the basics of weightlifting. Taught by Certified Personal Trainers, this class will break down strength training through a variety of movements, using dumbbells, barbells and machines. When completing a full session of Weightlifting 101, you will feel confident in the gym, have proper form, and know how to design a strength workout routine. *No experience necessary*
