Want to climb like a pro? Learn all the pro-skills to become a competent climber indoors and outdoors. Check out our array of climbing classes taught by our experienced rock wall staff.

  • Belay Basics: Learn basic technical skills for top rope belaying, drop into any class to get started.
    • Dates: 8/30, 9/6, 9/13, 9/20, 9/27, 10/18, 11/8, 11/22, 12/6
    • Time: 1PM - 3PM
  • Learn to Lead: Learn to lead belay and lead climb in an indoor setting
    • Dates: 10/11, 11/1
    • Time: 1PM - 3PM
  • Climbing 101: Learn proper footwork, body positioning techniques, and energy-conserving tips to become an even better climber.
    • Dates: 10/4, 10/25, 11/15
    • Time: 1PM - 3PM
  • Custom/Advanced Climbing Classes: Upon request. $17 Student, $20 Non-student

Rock and Outdoor

The Rock and Outdoor Adventures program provides outdoor equipment rental services, as well as the following programs, belay classes, bouldering, top rope climbing, slacklining, hiking, outdoor rock climbing and more. The Rock Wall is a great place to work out and meet fellow climbers at CSULB. This indoor climbing wall is suitable for all climbing skill levels and is a showcase element for the SRWC.
