As we return to our normal routine after the holidays, it is easy to forget resolutions and move away from our fitness goals. Those successful in achieving their fitness resolutions are the ones that plan ahead and set goals for every step of the way.

Over the winter break it is easy to get off track from our fitness goals. We have many distractions including potluck meals with delicious food; time spent away from the Student Recreation and Wellness Center; and the overall exhaustion stemming from another long semester of hard work!

Setting goals is just as important as going to the gym and exercising every day. However, often times we set ourselves up for failure by setting unrealistic goals for ourselves like “I want to lose 20 pounds in a month.”
