Love Your Body Week

Love Your Body Week is here at the Student Recreation and Wellness Center (SRWC)! We have partnered with Body Positive at the Beach and Beach Pride Events for this exciting event. This week emphasizes the importance of embracing your body and spreading positive energy throughout the Beach community. There are various SRWC activities dedicated to impacting the mind and body. Both educational and interactive, check out what Love Your Body Week has in store for you!

Mindful Monday

Bring your friends to the Farber Fitness Room to engage in a body positive workshop! Learn more about continuing your journey of self-love. After your session, don’t forget to check out Deadlifts and Donuts happening on the SRWC Strength Floor!

Tasty Tuesday

Drop in at Beach Balance for some sweet treats! These yummy eats are accompanied by a Beach Pride Events mirror activity. The SRWC Pool Deck is also hosting a total body care activity from 4 to 6 p.m. Understand how to take care of your body!

Wind Down Wednesday

You don’t want to miss out on the largest event of the week! Smash the Scale is taking place in the Front Plaza at the SRWC. From 5 to 7 p.m., participate in fun activities like getting a henna tattoo or taking pictures with your friends in the photobooth. There will be snacks and a DJ for you to vibe out to! The main attraction is being able to smash an actual scale with negative words on it. Release those hateful thoughts and be entered into a raffle! This opportunity drawing has prizes like a Lululemon fanny pack, gift cards, a free SRWC summer membership and so much more!

Thankful Thursday

To end the week, join us for the SRWC Pool Party! Get into the summer mood while exercising your body. Take the time to focus on your mental and physical health in the pool!

We recognize the difficulties people face when it comes to insecurities. The SRWC is here to unite the Long Beach State University (LBSU) community and encourage you all to support one another. Our hope is to make everyone feel welcome and safe on campus. Swing by the SRWC April 15 to 18, we hope to see you during this eventful week!
