Every year, thousands of participants take part in this unique opportunity to win free tuition just by regularly utilizing the SRWC. Even though we’ve gone virtual, Owen’s is still on!
If you find it hard to maintain your fitness goals while the Student Rec & Wellness Center (SRWC) is physically closed, Owen’s Condition for Tuition might be just what you need to stay motivated. Every year, thousands of participants take part in this unique opportunity to win free tuition just by regularly utilizing the SRWC. Even though we’ve gone virtual, Owen’s is still on!
To enter the opportunity drawing for free tuition, you’ll need to log 50 sessions of exercise, stretching, meditation or other form of wellness along with a selfie or video from the workout. Logging your points is easy – simply go to Owen’s page to access the form, enter some basic info, and you’re good to go!
As Membership Services & Outreach Coordinator Leiana Swanson explained, “While the SRWC’s doors aren’t open, you don’t need to compromise your routine. Sessions can be earned in countless ways – taking a walk, doing breathing exercises, or participating in a SRWC fitness class online.”
Aside from the grand prize of a semester’s tuition announced at the end of the spring semester, participants will be rewarded with exciting prizes from start to finish. Everyone who completes 25 sessions (the halfway mark) will earn a free duffel bag, and other amazing prizes will be awarded to all who finish the challenge. Additionally, participants will be randomly selected for prizes on a monthly basis. Whether or not you’re confident about your odds of winning tuition, there’s still plenty of incentive to participate!
“One of the best reasons to participate in Owen’s is that it helps you stick to a solid workout schedule,” Leiana explained. “While you’re at home, it’s easy to get disconnected from your normal routine – but when you’re participating in Owen’s, not only will you be working toward a prize, but you’ll also receive consistent reminders from us to stay active and reach the finish line.”
While the challenge begins at the start of the semester, there are still plenty of announcements about prizes, events and other opportunities to come. Stay in touch by following us @csulbsrwc!
