The Student Recreation & Wellness Center’s Beach Balance program is here to provide the Long Beach State community with health and wellness services to enhance the quality of life through mental, physical and spiritual wellbeing.

The USU Games Center is hosting online tournaments for students to participate in! The goal is to have fun and interact with peers during quarantine. The Games Center hopes to provide a space for inclusion, excitement and play.

Finals week and the holidays are around the corner, so that means you need to find ways to take care of yourself during what can be a busy and stressful time! Enter: low-cost massages at Beach Balance!

Owen’s Condition for Tuition offers a unique opportunity for students to workout, chill-out and luck-out with free tuition. The condition? Students must exercise for 30 minutes and sign out 50 times at the biometrics scanner at the front desk of the Student Recreation & Wellness Center (SRWC).

Get into the giving spirit and fall into giving with the SRWC! Bring canned food donations to our front desk anytime during November as a part of our Fall into Giving program. All donations will be given to ASI’s Beach Pantry!

That’s a wrap! The fall 2019 intramural season at CSULB officially ended during the final weeks of last semester, and what a passionate season it was. Out of the six total leagues, five finished out their seasons in November with championship games that brought in considerable crowds that were eager to watch the thrilling competitions. Anthony Almeida, recreational sports coordinator at the SRWC, described the season as “exciting, inviting and operated at the highest standard.”

Check out one of our NEW instructional fitness classes at the SRWC: Total Body Shred – a small group training class taught by a certified personal trainer. And Kettlebell Training – a class focused on learning the purpose and technique of training with kettlebells. The next session began on Oct. 29, but it’s not too late to sign up!
