The SRWC Combine is back to see who has what it takes to be this year’s “workout warrior” at Long Beach State University (LBSU). Inspired by the National Football League’s (NFL) Scouting Combine, the SRWC Combine will use four tests to gauge the athletic ability of its participants.

The fall semester is more than halfway over, which is hard to believe, but is still very exciting! Students have worked hard on homework and projects and studied for long hours while balancing life outside of school. The Student Recreation and Wellness Center (SRWC) was excited to bring back the first in-person Owen’s Condition for Tuition (OCFT) celebration since spring 2019. While the scholarship challenge continued throughout the pandemic with virtual celebrations, it wasn’t the same without the energy of everyone coming together for the excitement and grand prize reveal. The 2022 recipient of the semester of free tuition was third-year, kinesiology-exercise science major, Kolton Fernandez.
